Love and Marriage in Islam

Marriage post 1:

Islam, unlike other religions is a strong advocate of marriage. There is no place for celibacy like, for example the Roman Catholic priests and nuns.

The prophet (pbuh) has said "there is no celibacy in Islam"

Marriage is a religious duty and is consequently a moral safeguard as well as a social necessity.

Islam does not equate celibacy with "taqwa" and "Iman". Our beloved Prophet (SAW) has said,

"Marriage is my tradition, who so ever keeps away there from is not from amongst me"

Marriage is a social necessity because through marriage, families are established and the family is the fundamental unit of our society.

Furthermore, marriage is the only Islamically permissable way to intimately indulge with a member of the oppositte sex.

Dear Muslim! Know and understand that from the signs of Allah Almighty is that he has created everything in pairs, which every sound mind will acknowledge! Everything has an oppositte except Allah Almighty. An individual that contemplates deeply will realsie that these pairs only point to one thing!- ...and that is the UNITY of Allah Almighty! -Subhaanallah!

Allah is ONE and the only being worthy of worship.

Allah says in the chapter of 'ath-thaariyaat', verse49:

((We have created all things inpairs, that perhapsyou may remember))

Dear reader, after the brief introduction above, i bring into perspective the pairings that we as human beings exist in.

Allah Almighty mentions in chapter 4, verse 1:

((O people! Revere your lord who has created you from a single soul, and created from it it's mate, and dispursed from both of them ma......ny men and women... ))

And in chapter 49, verse 13, Allah said:

((O mankind! We have indeed created you from one man and one woman, and have made you into various nations and tribes so that you may know one another; indeed the more honourable among you, in the sight of Allah, is one who is more pious among you; indeed Allah is All Knowing, All Aware. (Piety is the basis of honour in Allah’s sight.)

And in chapter 16, verse 13, Allah said:

((And Allah has made for you from yourselves mates and has made for you from your mates sons and grandchildren and has provided for you from the good things))

And Allah knows best.
